VAFC mounted in sunglass holder (pics)

Finally got around to finishing this project. Took a while with all the modifications to the glass holder. It's a combination of MDF and some epoxy putty that was sanded and painted.

I had to relocate the cable as it normally comes out the side, as seen in this pic. The hole on the side is where it used to come out. I may fill that later if I get around to it.

It slides down when the glass holder is opened and can be slid back up when I close it. I am planning to order the wiring harness for this so I don't have to splice and wires.

Oh and no comments about the wire up in the holder. I just mounted it and hadn't started re-routing the wires up in the headliner.

the S-AFC is just a air/fuel ratio controller/module... What NSXNEXT has is the V-AFC, which has an extra feature of setting when VTEC is activated. How these "computers" work is when you are dyno-tuning your car, you can increase or decrease the air/fuel ratio, and of course, with V-AFC, you can smooth out the power output curve by adjusting when the VTEC is activated (by 500 increments and vice versa). Many people have had success gaining a couple of horsepower, but the main thing is when you have many mods, including f/i, nitrous, it's safer to adjust the fuel/air ratio to optimize the engine output and to protect your engine from running to lean. And one of the good things of getting these is so you can get a smooth power curve. So in another words, if you have many mods and you want to tune your car, get one of these babies.
