V-tech
I am not very familiar with the engine in the TL even though I own a 2003 acura TL type-s. What exactly does the v-tech do. I hear people talk about it like its a trubo or supercharger when all I thought it did was regulate shift points. If someone has an answer please hit me back.

this has been discussed a bunch of times if you searched it but here is a link to make you understand the concept of it. =)

It is nothing and I repeat nothing like a turbo or supercharger. The only people that would make that comparison are people who have never been in a turbo car.
Basically vtec is a way to make the low end torque, mpg, and emissions of a small cam and then switching over to a big cam at high rpms and heavy throttle to get the benefits of a big cam. It's like having your cake and eating it too.....sort of.

like said, it's v-tec and basically gives unloads 100% of what your car makes anyway. the only reason people feel like it's "turbo'd" it's cause when you're not in v-tec the car is cutting back, so when you reach 5500 or so, it goes ballistic and this happens
and also, wikipedia will answer pretty much anything

Thanks guys, I knew it wasn't similar to a turbo or a supercharger, but wasn't sure what it did. Ive owned mustangs my whole life other than this car, so I am not too familiar with honda. I love my new car though. Thanks guys for clarifying. Except anus spec

When I was looking at the new Accord, the noobie sales guy explained it as....it's when the air opens up and it releases a valve and the engine accelerates. I started laughing when he said that.

I had a 94gt which was fun but kinda slow and a 97 cobra which i loved. The fox body's are cool but theyre kinda slow. Unless ur looking to build it up.

fox body is one of the best platforms to start off a mustang project.. its light weight and has tonnes of aftermarket mods available for it!! sn95 and the new edge are too common..
