I'm thinking about getting the three piece pulley set from UR (anodized red). Are these things safe for the engine?

I seem to remember people writing that there was a harmonic balancer in the crank pulley and that replaceing it would void your warranty.

Any thoughts???

 

They are alright but after a while they tend to warp... so if you plan on keeping the car make sure to replace them after a while...

 

Huh? Warp? Where did you hear this?

 

I don't think they can warp. I've had mine on for 30K miles of pure abuse and they are fine. Their use will not hurt our cranks.

 

I put them on my CL, they work fine and smooth.
