Upgrading to LED break lights

I want to upgrade to LED break/stop lights but should I get red or white color bulbs ? I want that look like with new cars that have that bright red break light when stopping.

What model brake lights do you currently have?

Aren't you just looking to put LED's behind red plastic?

I have the factory bulbs still.

Yes, I just want to replace the current bulb with a LED bulb. I was told that the current bulb is white but I am worried if I buy a white LED bulb that it will look pinkish at night.

Just wanted some opinions as to get white or red.

Oh ok...gotcha.

I don't think you'll have any problems with a white bulb.

Maybe somebody has experience with it...personally...I don't.

I thought you were referring to converting your entire brake light to LED's.

I was thinking what if you replaced the brake light bulbs with blue led's? i'd be dimmer most likely, but i wonder if the lights would look purple?

check the bay- there is a store something like homedepot is the store name that carries all types of LED- including ones that have diodes around the sides of the bulb,, plus the top- thats way cool
That allows the reflector panel in the housing to bounce the side lights and make it seem brighter overall and more visable at an angle

cheap led's are straight on only- if you move to the side they disappear from view!

do those 7443 vleds trigger the "brake lamp" warning light? like a bulb is out? I know if resistance is too low it will trigger, this may be a great compromise for the never ending no plug n play led tail swap option

I AGREE....

THE LINK I POSTED IS PERFECT FOR THE......THERES LEDS ALL AROUND SHOOTING RED BEAMS INTO THE REFLECTOR IN ALL DIRECTIONS MAKING IT WAY BRIGHTER AND REDDER

IF IT DOES TRIGGER THE BRAKE LIGHT... THIS WILL FIX THAT:

My Friend on here Rsoetidjo has his tails full LED on his TL.

kinda something like this...

I think they might be cracked, so he can't put them on yet.
You might wanna give him a PM if you want more information about doing the full LED.
