Thanks for the compliments. I don't think you can do that with the non-nav setup. The pioneer screen is in place of the factory navigation unit. Price and labor are a hard subject to quote on as I know people in the industry. Streeteffectz (Ron) can give you a better idea of how much it would cost.

Yo Ron, how much would you charge for equipment and labor for a job like mine?

Here is a picture of the trunk setup...

That's great! So now you can watch TV while you're driving!

I hope that you don't die in your car while driving and watching TV.

If you do happen to become so fixated with watching your TV while driving that you fail to avoid tragedy, I only hope you don't kill anyone other than yourself in the process.

Our rapidly deteriorating culture has just hit a new low. People are watching TV while they drive. Did you know that the average person watches eight hours of TV every day? I guess some people can't get enough TV at home, they need to watch while operating a motor vehicle too.

Anybody out there see this as a problem?

Tea Elle...I really don't watch it as much as I do listen to it. I usually listen to NPR in the morning and its an hour commute. I listen to the local news, as most of the local radio stations in my market are pure crap. I do have a DVD player hooked to the screen and it provides passengers in my car entertainment while I drive. It is not distracting at all to me and I tend not to look down at the screen while driving as I am afraid I will wind up in another car's rear bumper. It's just something I am into...I love mobile electronics and high end consumer electronics in general.

But...I do agree...As a society, we watch way too much TV. I average about 2 hours a day. At night I watch the local and NBC news and I have to watch The Sopranos and America Undercover...both on Sunday nights. My TV consumption increases on Saturdays when the University of Miami plays an away game that I am not going to though. I also must add that there is way too much junk on TV. Good commentary Tea elle. I agree 98.684% with you

As for me, I just don't have time to watch TV at home, and my main reason of installing a video setup is to keep me awake while driving home from work. I tried blasting my radio, opening the windows, etc nothing works. With TV, it doesn't necessarily means that i will be watching and driving at the same time. For instance, I have to wait for my friends every time when we hang out or you get stuck in traffic for hours due to an accident up ahead, at least you have something to entertain yourself while waiting, and not get frustrated! Another reason i got the TV is because i need it for the Alpine NAV aftermarket. So you rather i fall asleep which i do 9 out of 10 times and kill someone or watch a lil tv here and there to keep me awake? Although, i just found out another way to stay up, i race home! ahehaehaeaeh

i love the way you swapped the navi to the bottom. i wanted my installed to move it but he quoted me more labor and a day or two longer, and i decided not to. i think it was an ecellent choice. the screen has better visibility up high. dayam i wish i could change it now ...
it looks great stylin.

You and I have a few things in common. I also listen to NPR all the time. All Things Considered every night on the way to the gym and Morning Edition on the way to work.

And I love Sopranos. America Undercover...how sad was that Bellevue documentary last week? I was glued to the TV for the entire show. Amazing.

Thanks for the comments.

I agree...it was very sad. My favorite one so far was "God's Messengers". It was about the Evangalists. That was such a good episode.

And the Sopranos...That show is just pure addiction. I am upset that last year is the final year.

Its actually just a belt clip that I bought from the mall which cost about $14 and all i do is clip it on the back of the pro-fit and when i get out of the car, i take the entire clip and phone with me...it is really convenient!
