Hey all,

So I recently got the Tsudo axleback mufflers installed on my car by a buddy of mine, and right after he installed them, I started hearing this very obnoxious banging sound near the back of my car whenever I hit speed bumps or anything that makes my car shake. A friend pointed out this strange metal pan looking object as a possible culprit, can anyone help me identify what is it?

It's the flat metal sheet with what looks to be oil on it.

What are we looking in that pic? Is that the RR wheel?
That looks like the EGR Canister box but I dont recall seeing that sheet of metal on my TL... Let me go and check...

OK I do have that sheet of metal but yours looks incredibly pristine.. Mine is all dirty and dull. At first glance it looks like a heat shield for the EGR Canister.

unless I jack the car up for a better view I cannot tell are you sure its coming from it?
