Unbelievable!
I purchased my car from Acura of Boston in April. Soon after, Oracion purchased the vehicle from them as well and Oracion and I had serval conversations regarding my experience and negotiating techniques. Anyway, I asked for a referal fee and they tried to tell me that Oricion was already a "potential customer" therefore no referal fee will be paid. However, something will be done to compensate me. I was like, oh well, that's fine. So, over 3 months went by and after few calls to the dealer I received nothing. Well, Saturday, I got a package from Acura of Boston and I thought, cool, this could even be the cool computer some people had been talking about. Well, I open it and all I saw was an opened package of wheel locks the had been taped with black electrical tape around it. I took the package out of the box and one of the locks fell out of the package. Now, I am not being unappreciative but I already have wheel locks on my car, why the hell did they send me more? It was apparant that the package had been opened and returned, and they are passing that on to me? NO F*%KING WAY, PAL!! I will make a trip to the dealer sometime this week and tell them to shove the locks up their @$$ !!
Sorry, had to vent.

I went with a friend of mine so he could look at RSX's. He'd purchased from this dealership before and so had I. As it ends up, I traded my 2000 TL for a 2002 TL-S and the salesman said my friend would get a $100 referral fee since he brought me in.
When he went down to collect, the salesman told him that since *I* got "such a good deal on the new car" that he "couldn't" give him the referral fee. Sounds like a crock to me... I wasn't aware that the price I paid for the car had anything to do with the reward... I may as well have written my friend a $100 check myself.
I guess it's wise to not put too much stock in those referral fees.

u guys are being screwed out of ur money. i refered two guys to springfield acura and when they bought cars, the salesman called me and let me know that they did(even though i knew) and that he was sending me $100 for each person, and a week later i had both checks. it doesnt matter what kinda deal he gives them, it comes out of his commision, so he's just trying to keep more for himself.
