uhoh - got my Injen CAI, have a question
Hey guys, i just got my Injen Race Division CAI....i double checked with you guys yesturday if a 2002 CAI (RD1480) would fit a 2003 (TLS) and it does. Mine came today for a 2004 acura TL (RD1482) and it says i have to remove my front bumper to install it. And of course INJEN closed for the day today....dunno what i should do. anyone with a recent injen model?
EDIT: dunno if it'll fit....anyone had to disconnect and reconnect coolant lines and reposition ground wires?....any of that shit familiar?....that's what it says in the manual. AHHH !!

You have to take off the front bumper so you can remove the stock "snorkel". I did mine (for the icebox) this past weekend.

Off the top of my head, there were 4 clips underneath the front bumper, 2 small bolts, 2 small bolts at the top of the front bumper in the wheel well area. All of those were easy to access.
Under the hood, there were a bunch of those same clips (about 10). I took off the engine cover and the small cover where the oil cap filler is (6 bolts/clips). Then there's probably a few clips I might be forgetting. Once all that is done, you can pretty easily pull the bumper off.
Replacing this Stock with this, Comptech, is a big difference.
Just take your time and you won't scratch anything.
Here are a good set of steps:
