Post Type-SR 3.5 Now available for the TL

Post more info on availability and specs...

Currently the MDX engine is running at 240hp with a 3.5L and 245 lb.-ft torque; whereas, the TL-S is 3.5L 260hp with 232 lb.-ft...

With 14hp more they want to drive 4 wheels?

I don't know what tangent Raptor is running off in but here is some clarification....The Propulsion Laboratory, the High Performance Tuner car division of Rick Case Acura in Fort Lauderdale, FL (the worlds largest Acura Dealer) has started in-house production of a 3.5L high performance variant of the CL-S and TL-S. No - its not an MDX engine swap as this would not accomplish the mission of a true 13 second 1/4 mile vehicle with Acura's bulletproof reliability and driveability. The basic engine package (GEN I - 315HP) starts at $4999 and the GEN II - 335HP variant starts at $6999. In early May, a 400HP light pressure turbocharged set-up will hit the street with a beefed up transmission. NONE of these vehicles are 4WD!!!! The showroom at Rick Case has a display of the original R & D mule, black on black with a lowering kit, cross-drilled OEM spec rotors, C5000 RH wheels with P235/40/17 Michelin Pilot Sports, CAI w/bypass and custome exhaust. Its a very torquey powerplant that will spin the tires all the way through the 1-2 shift (with VSA defeated, of course...) Try that with a intake/header equipped 3.2L CL/TL-S!!

voltage blue, comptech headers, 18 inch ssr agle strusse rims,(painted voltage blue and achrome polished lip) custom iceman intake, pioneer avx 7000 tv, playstation 2, slammed on nex suspension, cross drilled rotors, nos fuel pressure regulator, greddy evo exhaust, (on the way level ten torqe converter and b&m tranny cooler) april 16 taking car to dealer getting 3.5 liter upgrade(mdx crankshaft, mdx rods, shaved heads, port and polish intake manifold, modified dome topped pistons.compression ratio 10.85:1

Does this mean I can go to my local dealer and request this as an option? When I las visited the dealer, I knew more about the TL-S than they did. After reading many of the responses to your original post, it seems that it is not the kind of thing you can request from your average dealer. CAn you let me know? Thanks
