I have been experiencing a consistent noise coming from the rear part of my TL-S. Now I always close the trunk from the inside black clip, using the weight of the trunk to force it closed, putting little to no wear on the clip. Anyhow a friend of mine yesterday had to grab something out of the trunk and ignorantly slammed the trunk shut. Magically the noise I always hear over bumps was heard again when the trunk was slammed shut. It's a Double "Clunk" noise. Now I was snooping around the FAQ section of this TL site, and noticed there's a way to tighten the trunk torsion bar.

Do you guys this is related to my clunking noise??? Do you think that going over bumps when the trunk is shut, would still create this noise?

Make sure your spare tire, jack and tools are all secured in there tight before you start worrying.

I had a noise back there too only to find out it was the wheel lock key rattling around in the toolbox.
