Trunk lid springs Install.

for some reason i thought we had a trunk lid install DIY.
guess my mind was playin with me.

i recently opened my trunk lid (yes i know its a prelude but the spring design is the same.)

i remember when getting my spoiler installed on my TL that it was recommended that i use the stronger springs.. well i never did b/c the trunk still held even with the extra weight.

well recently i opened my trunk lid and one of the springs jarred loose and i have no earthly idea how to squeeze it in. i've tried a couple different approaches with no avail.

has anybody switched these out, and if so, what was your approach?

thanks in advance for any help.

The easiest way is with the tool designed to do it. See if any of your local autoparts stores has it or see if you can rent one.

it can happen easy with those things. Thats why i recommend the tool to do it. It makes life easy. I picked up one for less than ten bucks.

I have the Honda spring tool. PM me if you want to work something out. I used it to replace my springs when I put on the spoiler.
