So I got rear ended a couple weeks ago...I HAD the "H" emblem and the "inspire" emblems on the trunk. I peeled the "H" emblem and "inspire" emblems off before I dropped the car off for repairs because they had to replace the luggage lid. I ordered both emblems from Mr HT, and if you've ever ordered from him, you know it takes a long minute to receive them. Well I got my car back today and went to put the "H" emblem back on....but the pegs wouldn't line up. The pegs on the "H" emblem are too far apart to fit in the holes on the trunk lid. Now I'm wondering how could this be? Soo...I'm assuming they put a different year TL trunk lid on my car. I have an 02. I'm guessing they put a 99-01 trunk lid on my car. I didn't know the distance between the two holes changed depending on the year TL. I started to think that I had to order another "H" emblem and wait the long amount of time to receive it, but I just went to a Honda dealership and they had one that lined straight up! I tried to go to a Honda dealership before I ordered from Mr HT, but they didn't have an "H" emblem that lined up with the holes (the holes before I got rear ended) that are further apart. So anyways, if anyone out there is looking to replaced the rear "A" emblem to an "H" emblem you may just want to try a Honda dealership first before ordering one offline. I tried measuring the distance between the two pegs of the emblem I have on the car now, they are "about" 3/4 of an inch.

 

Yes, one year they went larger then on previous years. Happened on the RL line too.
