You swap over the AV6 torque converter that came with the transmission or if you don't want to take a chance due to higher mileage, etc., you buy a new one for an AV6 transmission and install that.

more updates on this: located 2007 70K 5AT 3.0 Honda tranny from used parts store. Price 1050$ i think it is reasonable. I just wanted to make sure it is right one once I order it tomorrow by going there.

I know from past discussion that the tranny code is BAYA/MAYA either one will work? Where can I look up the code? Is there a difference between these two? Sorry I must be paranoid since lot of dependencies. If any of these goes wrong whole thing will collapse Thanks!

i located the MayFair auto wrecking for Honda transmission. However they fucked up pretty hard on me with the order. About a 1 1/2 week ago, I called first time and they said yeah we got something coming up with V6 AT tranny. Went up there and met with someone called Shawh black guy and weirdness continued. THey required 200$ deposit and said to me will take a day or two for the tranny to be ready. Additionally THEY WONT TAKE CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD only cash!! It was a redflag but I hoped it will OK and placed 200$ cash and WTF the receipt was hand written by the guy and given to me. After next week, made a couple of calls regarding the tranny situation and each time the guy picks up and said it will today or tomorrow. U know what, I called last time yesterday (Fri) and different guy picks up and scumbag says Shawn not here and he has no idea about the order. Place is completely screwed up. I decided to back out and demanded my deposit but s-hole says i have to bring the hand-written receipt back to them to get a deposit back. So if you are in a bay-area looking for trannies or other parts DO NOT GO TO MAYFAIR. It has been almost two weeks dealing with them and I have been only on wild-goose-chase with em. Not sure if I will be able to get my 200$ back if they screw on this, I am going through another major headache with em.

Saying that I am considering on a hunt for replacement tranny V6 AT, I am thinking where else I can shop around for those. If couple of weeks later I can not find anything (suggestions welcome on reputable tranny shops around Bay area or nearby towns with reasonable distance) I am thinking to get rid of this for good and switchin to either Infiniti g37 or ford mustang.
