Transmission shot after only 10 Months!!
When I was leasing my Type S at Paragon Acura in Queens, they knew I was in love with the car so they were playing all types of games and tricks with me. I told them straight out that I would "abuse the sh!t out of this car".
10 Months and 5 speeding tickets later, the transmission is totally flucked up and I am waiting for a new tranmission to come in from Japan or Idaho or wherever the hell Acura tramissions come in from. (Considering the amount of transmission problems Tl's seem to be having, it would be logical for Acura service shops to have new transmissions in stock, but when is Acura service logical?)
I am now driving an Impala rent-a-car, which isnt really that bad but its bad enough to make me cry for my TL every day. They told me that my Ac could be in the shop for as long as a month, so I am thinking about tinting out the Imapla

I have just over 19,000 miles on my 02 TL, and have had 2 transmissions replaced in the past 2 months. Evidently their is a problem with all Accords and TL's, but Acura/Honda have not done a recall. I think they should give us a new car and call it a day.

My guess is that they dont have enough transmissions on hand due to the failures that they are having. Sorry to hear that your car died - your rental isnt that bad though. When they had my 2003 in for the water pump recall they gave me a stripped down Ford Escort. When my 2002's Transmission died the first time they gave me a RSX loaner car which was a lot of fun. Hope you get your car back soon.

LOL, and this board gave me heartache when I traded my 2001 TL in for a 5-series BMW.
