transmission or other problem?

Well, yesterday i was driving and all of a sudden the car shook and i couldn't accelerate anymore. The most i could accelerate was like 10 mph no matter how much i pressed the gas. The malfunction indicator light was flashing, the D5 light was flashing, and the VSA and exclamation point light was flashing. Luckily i was near home and i still made it. I called acura and they immediately got a tow truck to tow it to acura service. They havent checked it out yet to see wut the problem is but they said they will know by monday.

In your opinions on what happened, do you think its a transmission problem or some other thing in the car? Btw its a 2003 TL-S with only 737 miles on it...

Sorry but that is definitely your tranny. How old is your 2003? Like do you know the build date?

Here's hoping you get back into your ride soon!

Oh my god I would be yelling at everyone with 'Acura' on their name badge if I were you.

Definitely call Acura Customer Care, 800-382-2238, and RAISE HELL!

Ask them if they can confirm that your car (w/VIN) already had the upgraded 3rd gear clutch pack and torque converter. If they say yes I would press really hard on them to step up to the plate.

It's leased right? Maybe they would put you in a new ride.

Oh man, that sux. If they don't budge get a lawyer, this is ridiculous!

The problem could be related to an engine or transmission control system computer malfunction of some kind. The several flashing lights do not seem to correspond to a failing transmission. It will be interesting to see what the dealer's technicians find was the cause for the way your car was acting. I had a VHS flashing light indication in my 02 TL=S that turned out to be an intermittent situation that never occured again once the computer was reset. No computer error code was found. Please let us know what they determine to be the problem.
