Transmission Failing? Car idles in 3rd gear

Yo guys i just got my car used recently, but im starting to notice that sometimes in 3rd gear i think the car idles and i have to let off the gas for the car to get back into gear?

Is this the transmission slipping?

And is this symptoms of tranny failure?

Also, if i have a AEM Cold Air Intake, will that void my warrenty to get the tranny replaced?

Yup thats a sign of tranny failure and no they wouldnt void your warranty with the AEM CAI because it wasn't the intake that caused the problem.

well i hope my car is under warrenty still...kuz i think imma get a new tranny now...i dont wanna have it fail on me anywhere else

Don't worry, the tranny warranty covers you for 7 yr/100 000 miles...so hopefully if you're within those numbers, they'll honor the warranty and replace your tranny.
