Well tell that to Acura cause when i had my trans warranty they always say your trans might be shifting a little hard due low tranny fluid and to top off if and when its needed, and that is the something iv been told at 3 different Acura dealers. Im on my 3rd tranny and seems to be fine knock on wood and it does shift a little rough due to low tranny fluid. I have 55k miles on this one and im not risking it.

I belive 3 x 1 every 15-20k miles and you will be fine..
I did a 3 x 1 at the dlr when new tranny had 30k on it and then I did a 3 x 2 (6 quarts ) with a friend of mine that has a 04 TL when my tranny had 60k on it and its shifting fine. Im gonna start doing 3 x 1 every 15 k miles now so at 75 K i will do my next tranny fluid 3 x 1!

read the owner manual and see if you agree with my interpretation of it
If you drain 3 qts and fill 3 qts 3 times, this makes 9 qts that you'll have to use to refill.I don't see where you get the 12 qts from.

I don't either there is like 7-8 quarts of fluid in our tranny and 3x3=9..
I had this car since 2000 and had 3 tranny failures so i have some expience w/these trannies so like i said b4 im gonna get on a 3x1 or even 3x2 every 15-20k miles ..and im gonna change the 3rd and 4th gear switches.

Part #12 and #13 I read a tread on it here and asked my tech buddy from Acura and he said its a GREAT idea to change those out every 50-100k cuz it monitors the 3rd and 4th gear clutch packs or summtin..He explained it but he got too technical!

I'm in a situation like this. I'm thinking and coming to a conclusion, since I don't know my history on this car. Then I will just do the 3x1 change on my Acura for safety reasons.
