Tranny is AT THE DEALER!!!
Well, I got really ticked off today, especially after I read another post along the lines of "The guys with tranny problems caused them by their driving habits". I called the Acura 800 number and let them have it. A polite lady said that she would contact the regional dude and he would call me.
Well, 2 hours later, I get a call from my dealer. This morning when I called, they said "No word on the tranny". Then, at 2:00, they call and say "Your tranny is here and we are installing it now. You can pick it up tomorrow!" WTF???
I doubt that correlates to my call to Acura, but it seems convenient.
Anyway, my Acura Dealer has 2 other 2002 TL-S's waiting for trannys. I am telling the "fredjones" people out there, when and if your tranny goes, and you are without your car for 5 freaking weeks, you won't want to read posts about it being your fault. So just shut the phuqe up and be happy your car is functional!
My serivce manager said my tranny was "new". I said, "It's not rebuilt?", and he said "No, it's new". I doubt that, but who knows.
Anyway, I get the car tomorrow. I hope smelly and the rest of you guys get yours soon. Maybe they actually found the problem and released these trannys.
Hang in there RedLined, you might be next!

Oh, by the way. Acura is going to pay for my 30,000 service. Do you think I should ask for more, or just shut up and drive? I would like to get an extended warranty out of this, even if I have to pay some of it. What do you guys think?

That's awesome news! No news yet from my dealer, but I'm sure I'll hear from them soon. I better! Will we have to go through another break-in period with the new trannies?

Smelly, my dealer says that they were on hold for a while, and now they have been released, so maybe you will get a call tomorrow. I think you have been waiting longer than me. If not, call the 800 number (It's in one of RedLined's old posts, the one about them making his car payment). Give them hell!!!
