Trade-in for 3.2 Type-S 2dr Coupe 6Spd

Just wanted to know you guys thoughts on the 03' CL-S 6Spd
I've been reading and hearing good things about it..
Wanna trade in my 99' TL in for this.. I'm looking for something more sporty and fun to drive.. Besides, i'm pretty sure my transmittion is starting to go out on me now.. it's slipping alot more often now

Was also thinking about a used BMW 330Ci

But the CL-S looks great inside and out, plus it's still cheaper brand new

Just called a dealership near-by.. The dood gave me an estimate of $31,850 for the car (without Navi) and I'd want a rear spoiler.. that's another $727 installed..

what a ripoff

if you can afford some more, go for the g35 coupe, just because its a newer design and has more power. Plus that think looks hot as hell. But if you have a lower budget, by all means get the CL-S 6 speed, you will have one of the fastest front wheel drive cars availible.

CLS 6-speed is a nice car, but keep in mind that it has NO traction control or VSA.

Also, that price is NUTS!!!!!

I'd say go with the 330ci! yeah that car is hot...punks won't try to mess with you in a 330. with a bmw you would be less likely to go around trying to mod it up. With the CLS you would be tempted to do so since it is jap and parts are cheaper in comparison to german. Btw isn't the 330 a rwd? I would prefer a rwd over a fwd. I test drove a 328i before I bought my TLS. Let me tell you the shifts are SOOOO much smoother in a bmw. But then again maintainence issues are a *****, not to mention the hefty price tag even on a used bimmer. Test drive the CLS and the 330 which ever captures your heart first.

yes, there must be reason that many CL-S 6 owners are selling them.

I'd suggest look at the G35, 350Z, and used 330ci... Personally if I were in your shoe thinking about a CL-S 6, I'd get the G35...

If you are looking at the 330ci, i would also look at the G35 coupe! My brother a one and it is a beast. It may take you a couple of days to get used to the short throw shifter but once you get the hang of it, it is so much fun! The car is solid. He has the carribean blue, with black interior, and the areo package(everything except navi). $37,000 out the door (MD. area)

People have been selling them just simply to cut back or move on. There hasn't been a single sticky issue with the CL-S6. The powertrain is flawless and a thrill to drive. In fact, once use to it the HLSD does make this FWD/Front Biased vehicle very entertaining. I went from a '01 CL-S to a '03 CL-S6 about a year ago and have never regretted it. This was also with owning an E46 328i manual which certainly had its high points. But when optioned comparatively the CL is the value leader.

Also, although the BMW equipped with the sport package as mine had, will out handle the CL pretty much regardless of what you do to it. You would really need to be driving recklessly to use the extended ability. If you auto-x then that is a different story. But in acceleration the CL-S6 will handily pull away especially as speed increases.

Now mine, on the other hand, had a little help from a blower so that my wife couldn't come close in her BMW.
