Touch up paint

I have a SSM TL-S and I bought some acura touch up paint, but the touch up always seems to be darker than the original. I tried not mixing and getting more metalic flakes per volume, but it didn't seem to help much. Anyone have this problem?

i bought a bottle the other day at my dealer. haven't used it yet, but will be using it shortly after my exams are over.
but i think the darker color is because u're touching up a tiny spot, which by applying a wee bit too much, then coat becomes too thick and gives the illusion the paint is a darker color. mines heather mist so pretty much same lightness as the ssm, keep u updated on how the touch up turns out for me

I have SSM and I used touch up paint...and yes it is darker. Try to apply a very thin coat, let me know how it goes...if it works I will try to take off my old touch up coat and re-coat it again.

To me in most cases it makes blemishes look worse than what it looks like without it. I would only use it on places that arent that noticeable.

keep in mind to that the sun has been baking ur car, so the silver color will fade minutely, but enough to see a difference from the factory paint.....also, try out langka when using touchup paint....it removes that nasty blob look, i used it and it works great!
