top off

Sup guys, I just want to top off my coolant, I'm 30mi from the acura dealership, and about 5mi from a honda dealership, would it be okay to use a bottle of honda coolant??? isn't it the same stuff as acura oem coolant? how much will a bottle cost? thanks

honda and acura are the same stuff. u could even go to a auto store and buy coolant there just make sure to get the one for our cars.

It's the same stuff. Not sure on the exact price but Honda dealership should be a buck or two cheaper.

okay, i'm going to go to the honda dealership tomorrow, how much would a small bottle cost????

A gallon jug of coolant should be about $12 at the local auto parts store. They offer full strength coolant for that much, but premixed for about $1 less. Yes, they actually sell half coolant/half water for almost the same price as full strength coolant. The reason I bring it up is, you should fill your radiator/overflow tank with half water/half coolant, or somewhere close thereof.

It is better to buy a gallon of full strength coolant, and mix it 50/50 with your own distilled water.
