Tokicos vs Konis

I know people who have had bad experiences with Tokico shocks. According to them, the shocks tend to leak a lot. I haven't heard a single bad thing about Koni yellows yet though. I'd go with the Konis...

Both my Accord V6, and my friend's 00 TL has been using Tokico for more than one year. No leak at all.
I don't want to comment on the comparasion, because I haven't used Koni before. So is other people, if you don't have experience with both, don't whine about one is better than the other.
e.g. few months ago, I keep seeing people whining about that a tranny cooler can be installed on 00+ TL, saying that they should be the same!!! LAUGH!!!

That info. about the Konis being too harsh is incorrect. The Konis on their softest setting were much softer than the OEM shocks on my CLS.
In short, the Konis are awesome. They are the best and back up that claim with a lifetime warranty. I have heard the same things about the Tokicos leaking over time.

I had a 87 Teg with Tokico non-adjust shocks over 5 years ago, and they were fine. One of my acquaintances bought my Teg and he still has the Tokicos with no problem. Based on this fact alone, I can say that Tokico is good. Now of course, Koni is better, but you pay a lot more. So the question you should ask is how much are you willing to spend? If you can afford to get the Koni yellows, great, go get it. But if Tokico Illumina is more in line with your budget, go get that instead. I'm planning on getting the non-adjust Tokicos because I can't afford Konis yellows or Tokico Illumina. Now, having said that, I do believe I read a post somewhere that this guy's Konis collapsed on him and he vowed not to get Konis any more. I forget who it is - Bitium or is it bdmc2001 or someone else? People say Tokicos leak, well how about Konis collapsing? Well, that's something to think about too.
But either way you choose, replacing stock shocks with after market ones - you can't go wrong.
