Tokico Blues W/O aftermarket springs

I've had Tokico blues with aftermarket springs on my last car, has anyone ever changed only the struts and left the OEM springs on the car? Wanted to know if the Tokico (or any other brand) would change the ride or make it more "bumpy" since I may have to change the struts soon and don't want to drop it.
