TL - Type S Gas Milege
Yo Everyone.
so this is beginning to bother me alot with my TL.
I think its sucking more gas then it shoudl be
when i drove a 1.6L civic Si. i got around 450-500KM (279-310 miles) per Tank.
now with my 3.2TL
a full tank of Premium Fuel gets me around 400 KMs (248 miles)per Full Tank
is this the same stats you guys are getting?

Yeah, the gas mileage isn't all that great on my type-s either...
I get about 280 - 300 to the tank... 300 if i'm driving more highway. Usually the best after an oil change, but only like one or two fill ups after that... then more like the 280 range.

For example, I made it from my house in NJ to Roanoke VA on one tank of gas.

Mpg
Have a 02 tl-s usually get 26 city/33 hwy, Depends on the type of gas you use , the "oxgynated" type will get you less gas mileage. Read the pumps beofre you pump. Union 76, Sunoco, and shell seem the best. Bp ,and sheetz are the worst.

guys do a little search on this subject. its been beaten to death. there is no miracle cure that will get you better mileage. my car idles all day long and has a mixture city hwy and i never get less than 280 to a tank. when hwy only its well over 350, typically closer to 400. and on occasions i have gotten over 400 to a tank.
change your driving style, and look for gastations that DONT mix ethanol in their fuel. it hurts mileage, and try different brands of fuel

you are talking about 2 totally different car, one is 1.6L and one is 3.2L and displacement already doubled, and and twice the horsepower.
it's kinda nuts when u try to compare a civic and a 3.2TL coz you are talking about a slice of bread and a gourmet sandwich
back to the stats....
i drove my gf's 1.6EL and i get 8L/100km with tons of beating
a 1.7L loaner civic is even better with only 7L/100km
a 2005 corolla loaner is more powerful but it gets me the same 8.5L/100km over the 3 weeks of beating
my 3.2TL has been getting 10-11L/100km during summer and 11-12L/100km winter even with quite a few VTEC fun, which equals to 500km b4 the light is on
i do have a light foot thou it helps you to get 50km more, and use A/C off so you will get a little better mileage, i have even done a 700km trip from montreal and only used 50L, that's equal only 7L/100km even i drove 140km/h all the wah
honestly 10L/100km for a V6 is very impressive, even a 2.5L Altima or Lancer RallyArt has the same mileage. i am very happy for my car. btw 3.2TL is one of the best V6 in fuel mileage, so be happy

On weekends, Newark/Union/Hoboken areas...
I use Sunoco 93 gas and put in STP fuel treatment after every oil change (3k miles). Nothing out of the ordinary......

We have a 03 Type-S. We're quite pleased....of course we own an Explorer V8 to average things out.
On wonderful CA Gas (91 Octane, Oxygenated w/Decaf lowfat latte mocha) we are getting 22 city/ 31 hwy, 24-25 mix.

Bettre when I am lighter of foot, worse when I feel the need for speed.

It really matters on alot of what others have said on this post and a thousand others- type of gas yes, but even more important the way you drive and the type of driving you do. I usually get at worst 24mpg and at best 32mpg or so. Average is usually 27/28mpg with some hwy, some stop and go, and some lead footing it
