TL-S Transmission hints?
What are the signs that the trans is starting to sh!t the bed?
My TL-S hasn't hit 1000 miles yet and sometimes I could swear it feels like it slips when I slow down and then suddenly hit the gas.
I'm probably paranoid due to all of the posts I've read about the tranny problems but I don't want to find out the hard way with my 11 month old in the car.
Should anything happen to her, I can guarantee a class action lawsuit will begin. With the amount of people on this board who have incurred transmission failure, I think the lawyers will be very interested to pursue this. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't happened yet. There is definitely strength in numbers. The number of failures on this board is staggering.
I asked my salesman point blank about the transmission issue before I bought the car...three weeks ago. He stated that it was a problem with only a limited number of vehicles within a narrow range of VIN's.
I told him that if it happens to me.....I'll find him.
Cheers.

a) The tranny will shift really hard, almost jar the car or making a banging sound.
b)Most of the cases are always with the higher gears, i.e.: 3rd, and 4th.
c) Car will hold a gear much longer then normal, or completely free rev when you press the gas with no power going to the wheels, when this happens, you let of the gas, and try again, and it should catch unless its completely fried out, then you know for good its bad Before its gets to this stage, you get the hard shifts, slips and shift delays.
I'm out of this thing after the 2nd one was going.
