Cool TL-S PRICE$?

GENTLEMEN, I JUST REGISTERED. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ACURA TO REPLACE THE LEGEND GS. I THINK MY WAIT IS OVER. THE TL-S FITS THE BILL. SOME OF YOU HAVE ALREADY PLACED ORDERS.
DID ANYONE GET CONCRETE PRICES FROM DEALERS?
YOU ALL KNOW ACURA'S TACTICS OF LEAKING OUT LIMITED QUANTIES AND TRYING TO SELL OVER LIST?

I think most people that are placing orders are only getting a guarantee that the price won't be over MSRP. I don't believe that the price has been released. I heard it's about 1500-2000 over the TL. That was a few weeks back, I don't know if it still holds any truth.

There are no confirmed prices yet. Any numbers we are hearing are only being based on the price of the CL-S plus ~$550. I went to the dealer last night to place a deposit on a TL-S scheduled for build in March. They will take deposits to guarantee you will not pay more than sticker. I didn't do it, and will probably wait a month or so and try it again. I'd like to get at least a grand off sticker. I don't think the Type-S will be as popular as everyone is hyping. I would say that around 85% of the TL drivers I see (NJ, NY area) are 45 or older and are more conservative drivers. I don't think they would be looking for a sports car and will stick with the base TL. Look at the CL-S. Lots of hype when the word was out, now the dealers have lots full of them.

I went to Acura of Ocean since they are minutes from my house. I know that Ramsey Acura (Mike, also a member on this board) is also taking deposits. Sounds like he will take a deposit for a guarantee to not pay more than a little under MSRP (~700-800 or so)

Good luck

My dealer is guessing at somewhere close to $32k.... Again, this is based on current MSRP of the TL and adjustments that are made to the CL when you add the Type-S badge.... I think the TL is ~600 more than a CL, and the CL-S is 31200 (I think) so expect 31800. Remember though that the TL is a very hot selling car, very very hot selling. My dealer _still_ has a list for the TL in certain colors, I expect the wait list to be much worse than the CL was, but better than the MDX because MDX production is cut so low and the TL already has been alloted a large portion of the Ohio lines.
