I checked out the comptech website for mods on the tl-s and saw that the headers and downpipe are supposed to give a 32HP gain on the engine. I would like to know if anyone out there has gotten those mods for their tl-s and if they really make a differece in performance.

Also, does anyone know who makes a good aftermarket ECU chip for the tl-s. I have a friend who has an audi s4 (250HP stock) and he was able to squeeze out an additional 70HP out of it just with an aftermarket chip and exhaust upgrade.

 

I'll prob get the headers in a little while. I just wanted to break in the car and enjoy it as it is for now. It would have been hard to appreciate the headers for their additions if I put em on the car without even driving it.

As far as getting 70hp from a chip, that will never happen in a TL-S. The reason the s4 gets those gains is because it has a turbo whose boost level is controlled by the ECU. The aftermarket chip increases the boost, and fuel pressure = lots of HP just from a chip. A Normally aspirated engine wont see gains anywhere even remotely close to that just from a chip
