Post TL-S likeness to Canadian EL model

Hey, I just noticed how much the TL, CL, and CL's front side look like each other. Acura is trying to duplicate BMW's recipe. First it was the alphanumeric names. Now it is the pentagon grill with tear shape headlights. Remarkable!

What do you guys think?

The EL model BTW is a modified Civic and is strictly a Canadian model. This is what it looks like http://www.canadiandriver.com/news/001019-1.htm)

I met so many EL on the street and it does look very similar to minimize TL.
Just like Merz C class to S class.

I saw a lot of ELs in Toronto too. In fact the new head light is similar to that of the Corolla.

Does anyone know why Acura only sells EL in Canada? I have a Civic and would have chosen the EL if it was available here in the U.S.

Oracion, I think the reason is that Canadians are too damn poor (due to high taxes) to afford the TL or RL in any meanful quantities to keep the Acura dealers in business.

Sales from the aging Integra must be not be enough to keep the dealers happy so they had to design an entry level volume Acura that is more affordable for the average Canadian. Hence we have the (Civic) EL.

That's my 2 cents.

That makes sense. I've lived in Toronto for a few years and the taxes are definitely high. That 15% (7%GST and 8%PST) tax is a killer!

The income tax is even worse, 40 to 60 %, depending on how much you earn.
No matter how much you make a year, Revenue
Canada is always your biggest partner.
