Question TL-S HP potential

Ok, let me start off saying that I am mechanically stupid when it comes to developing horsepower, so as odd as the questions that I am asking may sound, they come from ignorance.
Now, that said, my questions are these: (and this is assuming an open checkbook)

1. With assistance of a good engine man, (stripdown and rebuild from the bottom up) how much HP do you think that the Type-S engine could develop being normally asperated? (No NOS)
1a. do you think that it would be capable of reaching the nickle mark? (500 HP)
2. With a turbo?
3. With a supercharger?
4. Is it possible to re-chip this engine?

just a little bit of food for thought... and probably make Pure drool all over his keyboard.....

a 2.0 4 nbanger can create 500HPm with enough boost, but thats for drag purposes. The type S has a good compression ratio already 10.3:1, with a bored out engine and all the bolt-ons I/H/P/E plus a great P&P and a blower you won't come near 500HP at the crank. 500whp on a FWD car is asking for disaster and is stupid to attempt. If you are looking for a drag car you need a RWD V8 monster or twin turbo supra, 3000GT, etc.

all motor id say on a type s 300 engine HP would be reasonable 260ish to the wheels. these trannys are made of glass and the car is well over 3200 punds, not the ideal racer. personally bolt ons and a nos bottle for those once in a blue moon red light races is all id spend my money on.

agree, bolt-on's and nitrous would a fun gift to yourself when a mustang GT or other sporty car wanted to race you. What a suprise that be too a 300+hp RWD powerhouse.

1. I'd say about 280-290 whp with the 3.5
1a. NO
2. About 400 whp
3. About 310 whp
4. Unichip is the only PnP chip right now. A lot of people use the Greddy e-man for FI situations.
