TL - S Acceleration

I'm still new to this and here is a stupid one... I went to a million sites and the answer to my question was anywhere from 6.2 - 6.8...

Does anyone know the EXACT 0-60 acceleration for a stock 2003 TL Type S? It was different they said for a 2002... I don't know why if this is true... can anyone help me with the facts?

Thanks,
Paul

You might try asking this in the TL-S forum.

As for numbers, it can vary a little bit. Each car, temperature, elevation, etc. 6.8 is more like a TL-P, though. Go out and get a G-Tech, and see what your numbers are.

It's fast enough to out accelerate a '92 Mustang GT, '99 BMW Ci,
'00 Maxima SE, '01 Lincoln LS V8, '01 Celica GT-S, and regretfully
'02 RSX-S. I have had little trouble avoiding, getting away from, or passing these and others. The only ones I could not do this to so far was a '00 SVT Mustang Cobra and 0?' V-8 Trans Am; for obvious reasons.

I based a lot of my decision to get the TL-S on Motortrends original posting of the '02 model at 6.2. Then they did a comparison test and showed the time at 6.28. I use its awesome acceleration just to get past annoying drivers like the ones mentioned above.

like many people said, this depends on a lot of things, but one very important factor, tires! the tires on the TLs aren't the best, so if you want good 0-60 time, get some good tires
6.1, 6.2 may be quite possible if you have very good rubber, but FWD cars always have a disadventage in launching

Well, I'm not one who follows this sort of thing, but I'm pretty sure that even the car mags get a different 0-60 time when they do tests. So I'm not sure what an "Exact 0-60 acceleration time" would be. Have you tried looking at the Acura.com site?
