TL-P vs Civic Hatch

For those of you in the Orange County area, I raced a White Civic Hatch last night in Irvine down Bryan. We raced at about 5 different lights. Each time, at the takeoff, we were side by side, probably because he clutch dropped, giving him a good launch. I still power braked with the TCS off. Once in third though, I pulled through and left the rice the burn. Power to the TL. Props to the hatch though, he had some major work on it, but no match for the sports car in the body of a family luxury sedan known as the TL!

The hatch was probably not that modified under the hood...

I raced my friends white 99 Hatch this weekend as well... He just got his GSR in that little thing, and lemme tell you.... All i have is a 2000 TL-P with CAI/Pullies...

He instantly took a 3 car lead in 2nd gear, and by the time we hit 80mph all I could see was his emergencies about 10 car lengths ahead.

I used to have a Integra GSR. Fully built bottom end, custom port/polished, titanium retainers, Ferri valves, drag custom turbo T4/T3, tial blow off valves, Hondata ecu, airtech pump/FPR/custom fuel lines, fluidyne radiator, flex fans, and tons of other things...from suspension, sways, LSD, fidanaza flywheel, etc...
Best time at the track is 11.36 with slicks (1/4 mile). I would say 99% of civics/Integra out there are stock or rice out...but the other 1% is no joke.

Yeah I agree, every "compact" car is fast with the ITR engine..
Ops.....Their car is not fast, the engine is....
I really like the type R engine but is too riced out. many civics got them nowadays..

Stop light racing is gay.

By the way, dropping the clutch gives you a worse launch. Low RPM launches are pretty much ideal if you want traction and not tire spin.
