TL-P vs Avalon XE ?
how would u think my TL fare against a late 90's + Toyota Avalon? this one guy at school is being a dickhead and always revs his engine next to mine and is looking to race. i havent gone up against him yet, because i think its rather dumb, and laugh at him while he thinks he's the shit. but, if i get into one of those moods, and actually go up against him, how would i do? it might be modded, but just a little, he is always revving and it sounds like a weedwhacker. any thoughts?

, and then stick it to him. It's probably not worth the gas, but if you must streetrace (another ), then you should be alright... so long as he doesn't go on 1.

A coworker of mine has an 02' Avalon XE and it is certainly no match for a TL-P. I've driven it several times and I keep wanting to fall asleep on the highway. 210hp is the correct number and another engine is not optional, they're all the same. The steering is WAYYYY over powered. There is no road feel to it at all.
He paid a couple grand more to get the Avalon over the V6 Camry he was looking at and it came with pretty much the same equipment.

My mom has a '99 Avalon. I used to drive it all the time before I got a TL a few weeks ago 
95-99 Avalons have 200hp... it moves pretty fast, considering that it's a large car and really not marketed as a sporty car. I remember the days when I first started driving, and I'd be pushing that car like crazy... Topped it out at 135mph
But yeah... a TL will bury it easily. I don't know if I'd race an Avalon on anything but a straightaway though.. The steering is WAY overpowered, the tires don't grip for anything, and the suspension produces ridiculous amounts of roll.

my dad has a 2000 avalon. what a piece of dogcrap. slower than my grandmother. you'll slaughter him whether he has a fart cannon or not. besides, i don't really think any mods were available for that car. just make sure you make lots of pretend reving noises when you see him in the halls at school afterwards :fingerfawk:
