Tl-P Owners w/ Headers?
Can you guys with headers on a TL-P tell me what you think of them? Worth it? Can you FEEL the increase in power? 
I am having my UR crank pulley installed on Sat. and want to move to headers next (if they are worth it).

Which one is better between UR crank pulley or AEM?.....Also I was gonna ask if any TL-P ppl who got header on and dyno them yet??....I wanted to know how many hp we gain

I just had the Comptech headers installed last week and yes I seem to feel more power IMO, especially past 3k. Combined with the exhaust and icebox I hear more of the "growl" when I accelerate. Comptech headers are pricey, but overall I like the addition.

You will get the same amount of gain from AlphaWerks, Stone Racing, or OBX as you would from Comptech... But the durability will never be as good. I've heard good things about AlphaWerks.

its all about the comptech headers... im sure they all give the same results.. but i went with the comptechs so i dont have to look under my hood every few weeks to see if the welds are cracking... just like everything else im sure they will have an issue in the long run but ive yet to hear of a case!

I got Comptech's though, but check this site out for Alphawerks Headers. http://www.alphawerks.com/alpha_interface_headers.htm I have heard nothing bad about them yet.

i think he was asking if it actually made a big enough difference that it would allow you to beat a stock tl-p as opposed to like the intake which adds what 6 horse power? where if the tl with and intake raced the stock one it wouldnt make a big enoug difference that the modded tl would clearly win i am also curious of his question does it make a bg enough difference to clearly beat a stock tl-p

Do what I did and buy used CT headers. IMO, I would never spend +$1200 for headers. But I wouldn't buy any other brand due to issues that have been popping up.
As far as performance goes, yes I do feel a difference. I have the aem cai and ct headers and it is definitely faster than before.
BTW, I have a 99 TL.

we all know that comtech headers last. Some obx headers are going to shit, some are still strong. Alphawerks and Stone havent been around long enough for people to say that their quality is great. Headers do make a difference, as well as the crank pulley. Make sure to reset the ecu to let the car adjust to the new airflow. Also stay away from aem pullies, they are known to destroy altenators.

i have a question now; since cracks come from heat (i'm guessing) if i were to buy a set of these cheap ass headers ($150 on ebay) and get them jethot coated, they wouldn't crack right? this would be a cheap and fairly reliable way to go right? how much is it to coat a header? i'm guessing no more than $70 or $80?

Comptech Headers are awesome...I got mine on eBay for like $450 or $500 a little over a year ago. The only reason I got them so cheap is b/c the guy selling them spelled "Comptech" wrong in his auction so nobody really noticed they were there. If he spelled them right, they would have been sold for a lot more Get Comptech Headers--you won't regret it
