As long as they know it has HID's...they want! And it appears the Acuras seem to be more easy to take...hmm...what does BMW and Mercedes use to bolt their headlamps down?

Again, they aren't stealing the headlght casing. They steal all the internals, bulb, ballast... They can they put all that stuff into their car.

And yes, it can be done in less than a few minutes.

MBs and BMW probably doesn't protect them any better than Acura does. The problem is that if you see a TL, it has HIDs. ALL TL's since 99 have them. Not all BMWs, MBs or Lexus' do. They're optional equipment and a thief can't be sure unless he looks closely (maybe/maybe not) or perhaps even has the car torn apart. Our TL's are a sure thing. There is no other option.

Oh..that's a very good point there. I forgot it was a "option" to them...and for the TL's and CL's they are standard. And there are alot of them out there. bleh...i'm gonna get some metal bars and some mean ass bolts and bolt it all to the headlamps and to the strong parts of the car..haha..

There is no difference in the headlights between the TL and TL-S...the only difference is from 99-01 and 02

This is only half right. They do actually steal the whole headlight assembly, but they don't care about the outer casing itself as it will only fit perfectly in another TL. They want the internal parts to retrofit into their own headlight casing. It's faster to rip out the whole headlight than try to disassemble the internal components on the spot. And because they won't be using the headlight assembly itself, they don't care how much damage they do to it when they steal it.
