TL Demographics
According to Daniel Heraud's informtaion on MSN carpoint, the average age for owners of 2002 TL & TLs is 46. 74/26 Male/Female ratio and income is listed at $85k (must be combined income). 77% are also married. I'm not sure what his source is for all this information, but I find it pretty interesting. Take a look at some of the other models too.
Personally I'm way under 46, male, nowhere near $85k, and not married. 1 out of 4

Wow...way off here, too.
Not even 21 until the end of the month, unmarried (but the ex-girlfriend who came with me to pick up the car said it was an "old person's car"), and not even close to $85k...

Folks driving the TL-S maybe about 10 years younger.
TL is definitely is not a younger person's car like the IS300 or the BMW 330I. Still like my 02 TL-S though even though it seems like an old farts car sometimes.

Way off!
33, male, single, not even close to $85K. It seems most of the TL drivers in Honolulu are middle-aged or older, or soccer-mom looking females. Oh the shame! ....But I just couldn't see myself in that tiny little IS300.

3 positives out of 4 for me. I'm way younger than 46. Most people who drive TLs around here are older, and, as has been said before, most of these people could care less about sharing their experiences on the Web. How unfortunate for them!
And I've made my TL-P into a much younger person's car, those Comptech springs really make a difference in looks and handing! I actually get looks from other TL drivers while I'm on the road.

Dont forget, that survey was probably only taking into consideration the NEW car purchases. Many of the younger people on this site are buying used 1999 or 2000 models, (which, even used, is definitely a better car than the otherwise popular Honda Accord EX) probably because they dont have incomes anywhere near that $85k figure. Then there are a bunch of young kids on this site who openly state their parents bought them the car new. So that doesnt count either since its more than likely the parents are way over the $100k tax bracket to be buying their kid a $32k (plus tax) TL-S as a HS graduation present. <p>
I see the under 30 crowd in my NY neighborhood driving the 2000 or older TL. Most of the people i see with the 2002+ TL-S are in the 35+ age group.

As for as owning a TL, it's a nice car, I put $5,000 down and still have a $515 dollar car payment, to me thats a big hunking car payment.
Yeap, your right some people do lie, but I hope your not talking about me.
