TL in dealership again :(
I was driving to work today when 200 ft away from house my car's Check Engine/VSA/Exclamation light comes on. Went straight to dealership and had them pull out the code... tranny dying again and my o2 sensor was going bad too. . They gave me a loaner 2005 TL (love it somewhat) but damn I just got my back from auto body to send it away again to another shop.
This be tranny number 2 now...

They didn't say anything but are replacing it. It was a phone message they left for me. No matter, I'll fight if they do. Other than that, Steven's Creek Acura has been real helpful to me. My pal there is Rodney Juarez, I'll talk to him if they charge me for the o2... cuz this is the second time I'm back in less than 3k miles. He did give me a new 7yr/100K mile warranty extension from date/mileage of install.

BTW... it's unfortunate Rodney wasn't in today... I got another guy. He told me straight up that they do in fact reduce the power of our cars via the ECU so that it doesn't break the tranny because "it can't handle all that power." Honestly, I don't blame him since he didn't design the car but if this is true... it somewhat sickens/upsets me even if it's a meager 5 HP loss. Anyone able to verify this power reduction to preserve tranny statement?
