Tires

I have a '99 TL. Stock tires were worn so dealer put on new Michelins. The tires are good all-seasons (MX4) but they, i'm pretty sure, are the same as the stock tires. I don't have enough money to get new bigger rims for performance driving so I'll keep the 16s. But I do want to have tires for summer like conditions. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

just get tires that have a smaller sidewall.

try a 215/55/16 or a 225/55/16

i am going to try the 225/50/16 and getting my speedo calibrated.

Smaller sidewall tires will fit on the stock rims?
Why are you getting your speedo calibrated?

Smaller sidewall = smaller radius = smaller circumference. Because of this, the tire will rotate more times in a given distance, showing up as a faster speed on the speedo. It will also show up as more mileage on the odometer (not good). I went with the P7000SS (Pirelli), but on 17" rims. These tires rule, but don't last long... These tires in 16" should still be awesome (215/55R16).

Good Luck,

Hey ABDomega, you shold try the BFG KDW's like Seotaji said, or even the KDWS's(S for snow) because your weather in Buffalo is even worse in the winter time than it is here in Philly and I know I need that extra snow traction. They also handle awsome in the summer time and it is a W trated tire(faster than stock V and even Z to 169 MPH).
