tire spinning?

ok ok first off i know that smoking the tires is imature and the car isn't meant to do it but i hadda do it just once. I have three good neighbors on my block. One has a shelby durango and one has a lexus gs400. they are constantly making fun of my fwd car saying it lacks power and blah blah so today both of them are out shovelin alittle snow and i decided to show them what the type S can really do. so as i'm pullin outta my driveway kinda makin a right i mash the gas with the ebrake on and with the help of alittle wet pavement. they spin for like 3 seconds then i see the freakin tire smoke coming outta my vents! wtf is up with that. I didnt have the vent on everything was off. I was to much into it to stop so i held it alittle more and then let out the ebrake and took off while opening all the windows to let air in. Just so everyone knows i couldn't see a dam thing behind thats how much smoke they put out crazy! anyway the type s gained the respect it deserved by my 2 neighbors.

Anyone have this happen or know what the hell coulda happened in my case? Thank god none of them where in the car when i did it or woulda never herd the end of it.

Burning em out is fine. My only concern is the harm done to the engine and other moving parts if this was done with cold oil, cold coolant, cold everything. Oil can't do it's job very well when cold.

that was the first and probably the last time doing that but thanks to the remote start i have the temperature was at normal operating condition. my concern was why the tire smoke was coming through the vents to the point where it filled the whole inside.

i had that happened to me the first time i did a burn out. when you turn your a/c on... the air has to come from somewhere doesnt it? so where ever it comes from... the smoke got in there. thats my guess.

btw... it smells like ass and yes, u cant see a damn thing.

Don't you ever notice, that when you drive at moderate speed (above 40) you feel air coming through your vents, especially at highway speeds? Well the smoke was doing the same thing, but in that case it was right there next to the intake. Next time you do that, hit the button that closes these vents. When you turn it on, it lights.

Yeah be sure you have the vents set to recirculating mode or you will be bringing in outside air. Actually its been my experience (at least on my 2002 TL) that even when its on recirculating, some outside air gets in anyway.

i love smoking my tires, my road is littered with black marks from me, and also in front of a friends house who always does it in front of mine with his maxima.

your stuffing an ls1 engine in an S10? NICE

My buddies trans am has almost no tread on the tires left. Doughnuts littered the parking lot of our old elementary school over the summer. Most of the marks were still there next summer!

I have done many a burnout in my TL and soo bad that the front two tries look like racing slicks!@! I don't like to make turns at high speeds because their soooo bald.
