Tire pressure

The general consensus is to have 32-34 psi in stock tires...

However, how is this measured? Obviously if I lift the tire off the ground it would show a lower measurement because the weight of the car isn't on the tire...and the front tires support more weight than the rear tires.

Is there a "true" method of checking/inflating them?

tire pressure is always measured cold... and how do you figure the pressure will change if you lift the wheel off the ground....

I noticed that the front tires of our cars "look" low, but after checking the pressure, there are correct. Are they supposed to look low?

Much more weight on the front tires. As long as you check the pressure cold you should be fine.

SwampGas is correct, your pressure will always measure LOWER when you lift your wheels.
The reason is not so much weight, but the fact that the weight causes the tire to deform making the volume of the tire smaller. Less volume with same amount of air == higher pressure.

Measure your pressure with the tire on the ground.
