Post Tire inflation

My husband checked the inflation on the tires on my type S and found them overinflated to 40 psi. The recommended psi is 32. By reducing the psi, the ride is much more compliant. Other than that, the car has been great!! You might want to check your tire inflation.

Thanks I'll check mine.

I still think there should have been electronic suspension adjustment button. My 3000GT you can switch between Sport and Tour. Tour mode gives you that smooth ride on the city roads but can switch to sport when you want to carve the road.

Question

Quite a few people have commented on their tires being over-inflated. Maybe we should all check ours

The dealer tells me that they put about 40+ pounds in the tires for the transporter ride to the dealership. This way, when they crank down on the tie downs, the tires don't compress too much. The dealer is supposed to correct the pressure prior to delivery. It's part of the dealer prep.

I have 36 for 4 tires.

It is alright. 40 is too much, and 32, you don't get the real sport feeling of the car.
At 32, it is not as precise in cornering, not as light in acceleration....

Mine were at 36 and 37.....now all at 34 as I run a lot of highway. BTW...if you missed my post somewhere else, I got 30.1 mpg running at a steady 82 miles per hour coming back from Lake of the Ozarks last Sunday.

I'm glad that I checked my tires too yesterday. Turns out, they were all at near the 40 psi level. I deflated them to 32 psi as recommended in the manual.
Now I want to see how noticeable the feel of the car is. Hopefully, not too much.

Very Simple, yet people just missed it.

Unhappy

I finally checked my tires today and they were all at 41! I took them down to 34 and the ride is softer and the cornering is better (slightly). I am just wondering if the over-inflation helped or hurt the MPG. Anybody notice if their MPG changed after correcting the air pressure?
