the sidewall on the right rear tire of my fiance's tl is starting to blister out. anyone having a similiar problem on their factory michelins? let me know.

Sounds like a defect. I'd go to the dealer (or whoever handles Michelin claims) and have them replace it under Michelin's warranty. A bulging sidewall can be really bad news.

i had the same problem right after i got my tl 1000 miles, blistered in the front driver side wall, complained to acura told me to go to michelin, went back and forth, and michelin gave me a new tire. they should give you a warranty before 1/4 tread of rubber wears

 

Happened to me to and they said they couldn't do anything with Acura warranty and I needed to go to a tire place and try the Michelin Warranty. No dice, they said I broke the belt on a pothole and they won't cover that. Had to buy a whole new tire.
