timing belt tensioner recall details?
i noticed some engine noise recently in 1st and 2nd gears, and took the car in for service. they said there was a timing belt tensioner recall, and that was probably the problem.
i did some searching on the board, but could not find a straight answer:
1) what are the symptoms of a tensioner problem?
2) what exactly does the tensioner do?

what is "engine noise?"
if i gas it hard, the engine sounds weak. kinda like the sound of water flowing. hopefully the recall update will fix the prob
oh yeah the Acura dealership tried to pass off the 15,000 service to me for $350. i said hell f**k no.

when I brought my car in to the dealer to get it MD state inspected so I could get my lisence plates, they just went ahaid and did it for free. Under warrenty I guess
