Time to replace brakepads. What to get?
I really dont feel like i should be replacing the pads already. Ive got 16,600 miles on the car but recently it feels as though the brakes are jumping or worn. Also fading a bit. I figure all i need is just some new brake pads.
A question. Anyone here replaced their own pads? How difficult of a job is it? What kind of pads should i go with?
Thanks

If it turns out you do need them, I suggest you just go with the OEM pads. Just my $.02 though.

Your brake pads should last more than 16,600 miles, unless you drive like a mad man. I'm not sure what you mean by "jumping". But with my car at 12,000 miles, the front rotors warped. I took it to the dealer and they said they have a bulletin on that. They replaced the rotors and put in new pads all under warranty. You might want to try that first.
