Those poor Jetta VR6 owners....

....they'll never learn. I was coming home from school last night headed down
I-81S when a silver Jetta VR6 comes flying up on my ass. I'm like .

So anyway I let him pass me and pull in right behind him. Gave him a couple of flicks of the highbeams to let him know I was game. He knew it was on cuz he slowed down to about 60 mph and goosed the gas pedal couple of times.

The great part was we were coming down a hill coming out of Harrisburg and the highway spills onto a 1 mile long, perfectly straight bridge that crosses the Susquehanna river.

As we hit the bridge he gunned it. Within 5-10 seconds I hit VTEC in 3rd gear and got ghost on his ass. I pulled strongly past him within the first 1/4 mile.

About halfway over the bridge he already knew he out of his league and decelerated.

Seeing that I only hit a top speed of 120 mph, I thought damn. I just smoked that guy within a 1/2 mile distance pulling from 60 mph to 120 mph. Must of been my brand new MEGAN RACING HEADERS!! I start yelling, "DONT FUCK WITH THE MEGANS BEATCH!!!!!!". LOL, it was funny. I get excited when the adrenaline starts flowing.

Anyway, I don't know if beating a Jetta VR6 is good or not, but I know I did it very easily.

Jetta's aren't that quick. My fraternity little brother has a 2000 VR6, and it's peppy, but nothing too impressive.

I was at the local drag racing scene last summer, and a guy with a silver 1.8T Jetta challenged me. I was like, "What do you have done?" "It's stock, but I've got some parts sitting at my house, waiting for installation."

I knew I would bag him, wasn't even worth the gas, so I declined. I really wanted to race this white Tiburon there, but the cops came before we could line up.

the resonator your removed...you talking about exhaust I assume because your intake resonator had to come out with your intake. Do you have stock mufflers? if so how does it sound now?

No OU, I was referring to my intake resonator. I removed my resonator as my very first mod w/ a K&N dropped in the stock airbox. Shortly there after I got the Injen CAI. I just need to update my mod listing.

As far as the sound goes, it gets real loud. Not in a ricey way either. It sounds stock under normal driving but when you punch it really screams. And when VTEC kicks in, OMFG.....hold your ears!

Did you even read my post there fuckboy? I never mentioned any racing thru traffic did I? There was no traffic. It was 11 pm on an open stretch of a 3 lane bridge. So before you go around calling people dumbass, get your fucking facts straight.

Your just jealous you dont have MEGAN RACING HEADERS! DONT FUCK WITH THE MEGANS BEATCH!

Yeah, thats the way I like to talk on these forums, because I like to have fun. My field of work involves government contracting, top-secret security clearances and a 6 figure income, so anyday you would like to compare resumes, or salaries, you let me know.

In the meantime, mind your fucking business asshole. No one asked for your 2 cents. If you didn't live so far away I'd come over there and slap you around for a little bit.

No, it isn’t rice. It actually sounds better. The resonator is just for the purpose of a luxury quiet ride. There's no real use of that thing other then sound isolation.
