thinking about buying 99 tl
this guy in nj, is selling me a 99 tl with navi, for 10,000. The car was salvaged and he is waiting for the title to arrived to sell me the car. the car has a couple of minor things fo be fixed but looks clean and runs good. what you guys think, should i get it?

I think you should ask him why the vehicle is being salvaged. And even when he tells you, not to advertise anyone, but check out the history on carfax.com. It is like twenty bucks for unlimited use and well worth it especially if you going to spend ten g's.

Be careful, not all wrecks are reported on Car Fax. My second -hand '99 had a clean CarFax sheet, but the first time it was detailed the guy pointed out all the areas that had been repainted. Great paint job, but what happened? Caveat Emptor!
