Are there Acura Dealers that do own bodywork?
I live in New York City and was pulling out of my buildings garage one day when I scraped a moving van parked illeg's on my street.
Where do you go for bodywork in NYC? I took it out to Park Avenue Acura but they sent me to a bodyshop nearby. (they don't do their own work). For the scrape the guy wanted $1,000! He told me he had to replace a small part, but then he needed to repaint the entire door...
I have a feeling a dealership will ask for less.
Any ideas?
Ciao,
Jon.

Laurel... do not take the car to the dealer. ITs way..way too expensive. http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=19380 This is your o2n thread from a little while back. I listed a couple phone hnumbers there. You might also want to drive down Mcdonald Av and jsut go from one body shop to another, compare the prices, pick a middle ( jsut dont pick the cheapest one) and have then do the job. Trust me...on my other car, 98 Accord it would have cost me 500 bucks to fix a small dent and a scratch in my trunk. I got it fix for 230 tax and tip included and the job was as good, if not better that the dealer. Hoe this helps.

i agree, i dont know of any dealerships that have their own bodyshop on the premises. i know the bodyshop that park ave acura uses is great(mazzolas), they worked on one of my cars and have worked on a few of the guys from the cl board. i know they are not the cheapest place around but they do quality work.

Acura 2000 in Brampton does their own bodywork. if you are paying yourself, dont go near the dealer. If your insurer is paying, I would not go anywhere else.
