Mike- I guess it depends on condition but the 6MT CLs is a pretty rare car, although I have seen a few near me on CL lately. They do still go for a decent price even with higher miles as they are rare. So even if that one you are looking at isn't in the best of shape, the trans is probably worth at least half that asking price

The entire car for 1500$ (Canadian Pesos). I have not gone to see it yet, however it sounds like it is in pretty rough shape. The only thing that's holding me back is that this may be the wrong time in my life with school to do this swap due to the time involved.

Also, with that many miles, I cant really afford to waste another week rebuilding it in a year. Its great that it coincided with winter break coming up.

Since you have an a-spec it's basically a collector and so I would do the 6MT swap in yours. And keep the gauge cluster + ECU and harnesses, clutch pedal, brake pedal, stick, center console cup holder and e-brake + cables. Then part out the car or send it to a parts yard.
I'm sure others around here will have more and better advice too.
After all this you might actually have an investment-grade car and could sell it for a premium.
