Teaser: Making DIY in 2 weeks or so.

Yeah I pretty much did this at home.

Car's not has NOT been polished or wetsanded yet.

I'll be doing that in a week when the clearcoat hardens.

Well It's a matter of personal taste. I get more thumbs down for having a s/c TL with a 6spd swap, and everything time it's the same thing over and over again. Why not EVO this M3 that. I personally don't like that lip kit that the rest of acurazine has.

diff strokes...if you like the spyder then do it? in the end, who sees it everyday? the azine kids or you?

I'm partial to the wings west front lip, people hate the "wings" on the end, but I think they're cool, give the car a bit of flavor..

not to mention, lip kits for 2000s are damn near impossible to find

I have my tails blacked out, I paint my car once every 6-12 months before school starts. So if I tint my headlights, it may not look good in the next color.

The car made 370ish whp on a pretty good day, 11.5 AFR. (It's been a while I don't remember)

Then I got a new clutch / flywheel and haven't really cared about power since.
However...

If my motor starts to act up. I already have an idea of what I want.

JE Pistons, Darton Sleeves, Pauter Rods, KMS valves.
A big turbo that fits.

But what I really want right now is a daily driver, I use this TL as a daily and it just attracts too much attention.

Lol it only costs about $150 for the paint/primer/clear with all reducers.
I'd love to paint your car ( I do it for fun ) but I have a problem with time + space. The place where I paint my car is dirty as hell, and I had to use a ton of tack cloth to get it clean. Also, I'm out of time for the summer. However, I am considering doing polishing work :P Will post DIY of that too when I'm done.

Well with 6spd + SC, people will only really see the rear mostly...

agreed, but if it was only SC + auto, people would only see the side of the car

Booth was a 10x30 gazebo off ebay for $130, but it broke on me. I had to bring it to a dirty garage where I just sprayed it (drop cloth + water on floor to reduce dust). The basecoat was pretty much perfect (2-3 wet coats) no orange peel, but the clearcoat sucked. It's really thick with quite a bit of orange peel... but I expected this. Hence the flex 3401 and all the polishing compounds I have on the pics up there.

It's pretty much impossible to spray without a bit of orange peel. Even factory clearcoats come with orange peel. On my test hood which I sprayed / wet sanded / polished, there was absolutly 0 sheeting of water. I pretty much pissed my pants when I saw that water was unable to stick to the surface and beaded right off.

I want to drop it, but I live in NYC and commute daily. I'll eventually get a set of tien basics when I find wheels that don't bend so easily. Thinking about the 3g type s wheels, right now I have coverride's ggames 99b.

H&R sports springs are a great subtle drop no where near slammed. i know about potholes and it's not really about the drop as far as bent wheels go.

i bent these wheels 2 times and said fuck it and went back to stock. it's all about quality wheels.

i liked the 3g type s wheels, but don't like how they look on the 2g. they poke out too much. i'm thinking about possibly getting HFP 19's that Cjitty has on his. they are hot.
