Question TCS question

Is driving with TCS off really burns more gas?

TCS makes my tires always spin too much.

how can TCS make your tires spin when it on? its traction control! it KEEPS THEM FROM SPINNING!!!!
driving with it off wont change your mileage any!

Yeah driving with it off won't change your mileage. TCS is rarely used. When it is assisting you the indicator light will flash.

Where in the world did you hear such a thing??? And how can a traction control system make your tires spin...???

one case & point, when we got slammed with 8" of snow back a little while ago. i could not get up our hill with the tcs engaged, but i was able to get up the hill with it off. with the tcs on would not begin to go up the hill.

when TCS kicks in ( i also dont have much thread left on the tires) the car jerks cauz TCS is doing its thing, like in the rain...

So is it perfectly fine to drive with TCS off?

I had a maxima before, when the traction was on, it would eat less gas. so I was wondering about the TL.

and when TCS is engaged, u should have someone standing outside, they will tell you about the wheel spin.

you shouldnt have any change in gas mileage with it on or off! even when you have the system on it is only working when the computer senses wheel spin, ay which point it activates and trys to control wheel spin.
yes there is nothing wrong with driving with it off, the only benifit you will get by doing that is that you will be able to burn rubber with out it interfering.
