Tapping into Navi video input?

Anyone ever tapped into their navi video input (from the drive to the system?)? I know there is an extra "mod" to hack the screen to play DVD's and sound, but I was just wondering if I had a DVD player and a headunit that could accept an aux. input, then all I would need to do is tap the video line.

So I guess the question is which wire(s) are the video input for the nav?

Haven't heard of anyone having a solution to this besides buying a Dom's unit or Navtool's Nav2Go. I just recently installed the Dom's unit. Check over in the audio/video section. There's a DIY on there with some pics.

The DIY I found seems to have all of it's pictures missing or links that don't work.

Anyone save that DIY PDF that someone made a while back? He made it look pretty easy on how to tap into the video input, but I deleted my downloads and lost the pdf

Got the Dom's TV&Nav2go quite awhile back. Installed it for use as a back up camera. There's actually only two on this unit. One for backup camera, the other for video. Audio is a separate deal altogether. Get the PnP. MUCH easier to install.

Can you tell me what wires were tapped for the Dom unit? Perhaps fooling around with the wires that unit taps will give me my answer

There is a DIY over in the Audio/Video section in the DIY page. It shows which wire to cut and tap into for the navi. Some pictures are down, but you will get what it's telling you to do.
